Treatment for ADHD has increased substantially since 2019
The variation in ADHD treatment is moderate and can only to a limited extent be explained by differences in disease prevalence

Outpatient activity for specific developmental disorders has increased substantially in recent years
There is considerable geographical variation in outpatient treatment, both between health trusts and across regions
In the 6–12 years age group, far more boys than girls receive treatment, whereas the sex differences are small during adolescence
